Day 01: Drive 7 hours to Pokhara by tourist coach. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 02: Drive to Kande and trek to Tolka (1700m), 5 hours walk. Overnight in Tolka.
Day 03: Trek to Jhinu (1750m), 5 – 6 hours walk. Overnight in Jhinu Danda in a lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Sinuwa (2350m), 6 hours walk. Overnight in Sinuwa in a lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Himalaya (2900m) 5-6 hours walk. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,300m/4,264 ft
– Airport pickup
– Airport transfer

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation for the Trek
– Breakfast
– Guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu
– Briefing on the nature of the trek, equipment and team composition
– Landmarks include UNSECO World Heritage Sites:
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square
  • the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 145 km/ 7 hours

– Drive along the north-western hills of Kathmandu and enjoy the Himalayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages

– Continue to Dhunche, then descent down to Syabrubesi

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6 hours
– First day of trekking
– Follow the Langtang Khola River and pass through the dense forests
– Cross several suspension bridges and pass a tea house
– The trail goes up and down but it is not that challenging
– Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m/11,253ft): 6/7 hours
– Morning tea
– Trail continues along dense forests
– A steady climb up through the valley
– Enjoy the marvellous views of Langtang Lirung
– Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them
– Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 3.5 hours
– Morning tea and breakfast
– Trek out of the village and pass through yak pastures.
– Pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them
– High altitudes where you might start feeling the thin air
– Walk around Kanjin Gompa to take in the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks
– Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included

Day 07: Visit to Tserko Ri and trek back to Lama Hotel: 5/6 hours
– Early morning visit to Tserko Ri  (5000m/16,404ft) for mountain sunrise views
– Breakfast
– Proceed to Lama Hotel, which is a 4-5 hour walk from Kanjin Gompa
– Trail goes all the way downhill through forests following the river
– Pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements who follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans
– Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included

Day 08: Trek back to Syabrubesi: 5 hours
– Breakfast
– Trek 5 hours down to Syabrubensi and enjoy the easy trail mostly downhill through lush green vegetation

Day 09: Transfer to Kathmandu
– Breakfast
– Drive back to Kathmandu
– Check in to hotel
– Spend the day leisurely or catch up on some last-minute shopping or explore any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu

Day 10: Farewell Friend

By Car or Bicycle. You can always ask the hotel staff to get you a taxi!

Are there any local norms/cultures that a tourist should be aware of in Kathmandu, Nepal?
– Before entering any local’s house and historical temples, do remove your shoes and as for permissions before taking any pictures.
– The locals are more conservative, so always try to wear clothes that cover your skin, and not what the local will deem as shameful.
– It will be good to try to follow the local norms, for example, greeting “Namaste”, which means hello, when interacting with the locals.
What are the acceptable payment currencies and modes in Kathmandu, Nepal?

Nepalese Rupees or USD are acceptable. For our tours, we accept generally most major currencies.
