Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,300m/4,264 ft

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6 hours
– First day of trekking
– Follow the Langtang Khola River and pass through the dense forests
– Cross several suspension bridges and pass a tea house
– The trail goes up and down but it is not that challenging

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m/11,253ft): 6/7 hours
– Morning tea
– Trail continues along dense forests
– A steady climb up through the valley

– Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 3.5 hours
– Morning tea and breakfast
– Trek out of the village and pass through yak pastures.
– Pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them
– High altitudes where you might start feeling the thin air
– Walk around Kanjin Gompa to take in the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks

Day 07: Visit to Tserko Ri and trek back to Lama Hotel: 5/6 hours
– Early morning visit to Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) for mountain sunrise views

– Trail goes all the way downhill through forests following the river
